Contemplation: Finding Clarity in the Journey of Wedding Videography
Ok, over the past few days, I have had a lot of new traffic across the website. Mainly because.... I won The Wedding Industry Awards 2025 - Best Videographer in the East Midlands.
This means I go onto the finals in January against the best out of the other 9 regions and hope to take home 1st spot.
So, time to reintroduce myself...
Hi there, I’m Andy from Andy Tatt Media, an East Midlands-based wedding videographer, and I’m thrilled to share that I’ve just won the Best Videographer in the Region award at The Wedding Industry Awards 2025! This recognition is a milestone for me, and it’s made me pause, reflect, and think about how this journey has evolved over the past decade. In January, I'll join other talented suppliers in London to compete for the national title, but right now, I'm embracing this moment of celebration and contemplation.
Reflecting on my first-ever booking ten years ago this month, it’s clear how much has changed and grown since then. My career has taken various shapes, from full-time videography and photography to working with agencies and, more recently, pursuing this as a side project alongside my role in another sector. As each wedding season winds down, I find myself asking: What if? What if I went back to this full-time? What would that mean for my creativity, my clients, and my family?
While it’s tempting to dive back into wedding videography full-time, I’ve come to realise that the current balance allows me to deliver something truly special. By taking on a limited number of weddings each year—15 for 2025, to be precise—I can give each project my full energy and attention, producing videos that are as unique and vibrant as the couples themselves. This approach also lets me balance quality time with my wife and son, along with the creativity I bring to my other role.
With bookings nearly full for 2025, I’m excited to keep pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in wedding videography. For those looking toward 2026, I still have openings and would love to chat about how we can capture your story.
The process is designed to be simple and flexible: a £200 deposit secures the date, with the option to adjust the package up to four weeks before the wedding. Life is unpredictable, and I understand that plans (and budgets) may change.
Thanks for being part of this journey with me. Here’s to more love, creativity, and capturing unforgettable moments together.
