Looking Forward: Goals for 2024

As I take a well-deserved rest until mid-January, my focus shifts to the promising year ahead. 2024 is slated to be a year of further growth and implementation. Building on the successes of 2023, I aim to elevate my skills, expand my portfolio, and reach new heights in the wedding film industry.

Venues on the Horizon

Looking ahead, I have set a goal to cover a total of 14 venues, with seven already booked. The upcoming year will see me capturing the magic of Hazel Gap Barn by Cripps and Co, The Chapel on The Hill for an intimate celebration, Grangefields by Cripps and Co, the enchanting Broadoaks Windermere, Yeldersley Hall, and a return to Stretton Manor Barn.

As I bid farewell to 2023, I carry with me the lessons learned, the memories created, and the anticipation of what lies ahead. My journey into wedding films has been nothing short of extraordinary, and I am excited to see how the narrative unfolds in the chapters to come. Cheers to a successful 2023 and the promise of an even brighter 2024!As I sit down to reflect on the past year, I find myself filled with gratitude and a sense of accomplishment. 2023 was a monumental year for myself and the family, marking the beginning of my journey into the world of wedding films.

Personal milestones

Amidst the hustle and bustle of music video productions and wedding season, 2023 brought about significant personal milestones. The joy of welcoming a new member to the family, Joseph, adding an extra layer of happiness to an already memorable year. Simultaneously, my wife Olga and I took a leap by moving to a new house, a decision rooted in supporting our day jobs while fostering an environment conducive to creativity. The moved allowed us to find more time in the day, enhance the creativity we have available on our 150 year old doorsteps and be active members of a fantastic community.

Business Ventures and Growth

On the business front, the establishment of our private limited company alongside my wife was a pivotal moment. Working together not only strengthened our bond but also streamlined the operations of our growing venture.

A super proud moment comes from being a finalist in The Wedding Industry Awards in the categories of Wedding Videography and Best Newcomer East Midlands.

Connections and Community

One of the most rewarding aspects of this year has been the friendships forged within the industry. Collaborating with like-minded individuals and creating a supportive network has been a game-changer. From sharing tips to watching tricks, it has been great meeting with other wedding filmmakers in the Midlands as well as meeting other suppliers like magician and host Christian Fletcher. The camaraderie with fellow professionals has been invaluable.

Reflecting on 2023: A Year of Perspective

As I look back, 2023 was a year of gaining perspective. Balancing the demands of a burgeoning business with personal milestones taught me the importance of time management and resilience. The experiences, both challenging and rewarding, have shaped not only my business but also my approach to life.

Goals Achieved: Venues Covered

With great excitement, I can proudly say that I surpassed my initial goals and covered more than double the amount of venues I planned in the opening season. The West Mill in Derby, The Hideaway in Stretton, Carriage Hall in Nottingham, Bredsall Priory in Derby, Foxtail Barns, Shottle Hall, Norton Fields Wedding Barn, Stretton Manor Barn, and Anstey Frith House have all been beautifully documented in my wedding films.
